* As a plus-sized Filipina, my relationship with fashion has always been deeply personal. Growing up, I experienced the frustration of searching
for garments that not only fit my body but also made me feel seen, confident, and included. That lived experience became the foundation of
[BINIBINI – Shaping Confidence: Empowering Plus-Sized Filipino Women with Inclusive Shapewear Designs],
my undergraduate thesis defended in 2024.
* Developed through research, co-creation, and collaboration with experts and local manufacturers, BINIBINI explores inclusive shapewear
designed specifically for plus-sized Filipino women by considering Filipino anthropometrics, comfort, compression science, and natural skin
tonalities. Rather than adapting existing Western standards, the project begins with the Filipino body and the experiences
of the women it is designed to serve.
* More than a shapewear collection, BINIBINI reflects my belief that thoughtful, research-driven design can celebrate body diversity, strengthen
representation, and empower women to define confidence on their own terms.
By a plus-sized Filipina, for plus-sized Filipinas.

* The BINIBINI collection consists of three bodysuits, each developed to address different shaping needs while prioritizing comfort, functionality,
and inclusivity.
* Bodysuit 1.0 serves as the collection's everyday foundation, offering breathable, medium-compression support for daily confidence and comfort.
Bodysuit 2.0 incorporates structured boning to provide enhanced waist definition and stability while maintaining ease of movement. Bodysuit 3.0
features reinforced interfacing and adjustable closures, delivering targeted compression and customizable support for occasions that require a
more sculpted silhouette.
* Together, the collection demonstrates how inclusive shapewear can accommodate diverse bodies and lifestyles through thoughtful,
research-driven design.
* Final Collection manufactured by Alejandro Godino, who is also one of my consulted experts.
* BINIBINI Branding by Diane Diana.
* Photography by Kara Salimbangon, in the studio of Kreate Kollaborate.

* I had the honor of being shortlisted for the Blue Mango Awards 2024.
* My collection was also exhibited in Lantao: Through the Lens of
Design, Des/inyo 2023, and The Kabilin Center.
